Twelve-year-old Amy, who'll be taking part in her fourth Super Swim challenge this year, has raised more than $25k for Starlight Children's Foundation since 2022.
Amy is no stranger to hospital life herself. Born with a rare cataract in her right eye that was removed when she was just 8 weeks old, she's had to attend hospital regularly since then for appointments and further surgery. The Starlight Express Room has always been a highlight of her visits.
In 2023, Amy received a Community Gem Award for her fundraising efforts. MP Jordan Crugnale said: "Your contribution to the Starlight Children's Foundation, as a kid helping other sick kids, is simply inspirational. So many hearts are singing!"
